Plain belly bars if you don’t want any dangles
These are the simplest belly button rings - belly bars (or bananabells - because its shape bears resemblance with those fruit) with small balls at the either end. The top 5mm ball is screw-able and the bottom 8mm is attached to the bar. The belly ring I just described is a standard one and most of other navel jewelry follow these sizes.
In fact, you won’t find many belly rings that are made from completely plain metal. Most of them have at least some kind of adornment - like gems in set into the bottom ball. I’ve seen more plain belly bars among gold belly rings - gold is a precious metal and therefore looks well even with no additional touch at all.
