okay i have a tricky situation for those who care to read this and want to help. I got my belly button pierced over a year ago, maybe two and it rejected. it split in half vertically and over time the skin reattached itself and then it was scar tissue. i noticed that the scar tissue stuck out a little and it almost felt like fluid was inside. i ignored it for a year or so and jus recently i got my navel repierced, but this time i used a silicon belly ring, plastic, so i wouldnt reject. now suddenly the scar tissue got huge, red, swollen, and the top skin was peeling off the scar tissue. just now i picked off more peeling skin and i pushed on it and puss came out, almost like a zit i guess. a lot of clear liquid came out too. so now there is a decent sized hole in the middle of the two balls of the navel piercing. anyone care to tell me what happened and what i can do to fix this problem?

well…I got mines, January 29, 2010 && it looks just like yours, but I used peroxide && it kind of got infected after using it…It’s not infected that much, just a Li’l && yours looks fine (: . Just tell me, did the small bell pierce your skin a li’l , like dig in ?

you really should be careful because when i got mine done i DID “snag” it alot and if you do that it can ACTUALLY pull right through the skin esp with dangly ones! I would only wear those for special occasions not while doing anything active just to be safe because mine ripped right out at work and i was left with a huge scar, now that i got it repierced i have to be very caucious.

Mine did the exact same thing a couple years ago:(
Unfortunately, this can happen for multiple reasons, and you never really know if it will happen again. Your body rejects piercings sometimes as an outside intruder.
Fortunately though i had mine repierced in september last year and itss doing just fine(: well, so far. It has made it farther than the previouss time so im praying for the best. But you could have a piercing for 3years and it will sometimes randomly reject. Just make sure youre cleaning it properly
