Horrible Ending To A Birthday Gift…

For my 16th birthday my mom finally let me get a belly piercing. at first i was scared but the fact that i waited so long to get it, i had to go through with it.
The first week was heaven! i could wear my favorite crop tops and half shirts. then tragedy struck… after getting stuck on my shirt one morning it began to bleed.
The next couple days i noticed it started to puss green fluid and was sore to the touch. i just began to wash it everyday and keep an eye on it until my stomach aches started.
I started to get stomach aches and my skin turned blackish purple around my navel. i didnt know what to do so i told my mom and we went to the doctor.
The doctor told me that the only way to fix it was to surgically remove it and close the hole. after my surgery, they told me never to get one again… my dream birthday gift turned into my nightmare..

well, see i am 16. i just got mine done 2 months ago, im trying to figure out if its normal for it too still hurt this bad, and have the green puss coming out of it? ive been cleaning it withh anti bacterial soap && also some of that salt spray && the peroxide.. && i snagged mine a few times and im guessing thats why it hurts so bad..

Im 15 and i got my belly button in feburary and mine got caught in a chair snd it was bleeding but didnt get infectd or change coloor or anything it healled normaly and i love all the differnt rings i have.
this story really frightens me, seeing as how my piercing is really purple and leaks yellow puss all the time. Yet, it doesn’t hurt or string one bit, im really confused. im definitely going to get mine checked out by the professional that did the piercing, or a doctor. either way im really nervous, because i got my belly pierced a week and a half ago, i doubt it’s supposed to be purple. after reading this, i think im more nervous to go to the doctor now, then i was when i went to get my belly pierced. )’:

WOW! i want to get mine done but this has me thinking. My friend got hers done and it got a little red around it but i guess that normal. For some reason i guess its just luck. Some people have sucess stories and other have bad ones like yours. Im very sorry.

GREEN fluid is not supposed to happen. Yellowish or white just means it’s healing, but if it is green or blueish, that’s bad and you shud get it checked out.

but i found out i was allegic to the bars then do it with, and my body rejected it, and now its scarr tissus, its fine i got a scarr, but i can still get it done, so im getting it done soon but i have to get my own bar which has to be gold x
I GOT MY BELLY PIERCED WHEN I WAS 22 I WAS SCARED AT FIRST BUT I LOVE IT. I’V HAD NO TROUBLE WITH IT AND I LOVE HAVING A BELLY RING AND I LOVE ALL THE DIFFERENT RINGS I HAVE!~
I have had mine done twice. I am a tiny person, and the first place I went to told me that since I was a thin person, my belly ring would grow out in a matter of months. I decided to go for a second opinion, and they told me that the first person was wrong. I went ahead and had it done with no problems. It lasted about 8 years before it did grow out. (meaning the amount of skin they pinched to pierce, got thinner until one day I realized I no longer had a hole there.) I went and got it done a second time, also with no problems.
i have mines done and the guy done mines squint, the place i go it done was really bad i went in a tiny room with a girl who was getting a tattoo and two little boys who only look like they were 3 plus the guy was smoking so that made me shite my self but it wasnt sore or anything like that i was just scared of something happing at the end of it when i got home my mum sent in a complaint letter telling them she is really annoyed that they let me get it done with out an adult and coz of when i got out they didnt cover it up or give me anything to clean it with so if you live in scotland never go to JOES in arbroath
i have mine done top and bottom, and nothings happend to mine it hasnt infected or anything and ive had them for two years and haave had lots of dangel and stuf its just your body type and your body didnt like it so rejected it
Some people are allergic to certain metals……you probably had a sever allergic reaction to the ring itself or just didn’t clean it very well the first week. Just make sure when you get it done that they use surgical steel and not something cheap with nickel in it. Granted i just got mine done yesterday and it’s a little sore but i’ve been cleaning it and keeping an eye on it so hopefully mine turns out nice and doesn’t get all infected.
oh my gosh im so sorry that really sounds terrible . i want mine done but now im not so sure .
im getting mine in two days and this story is scary

did you clean it with peroxide?
THE GREEN OSING IS NARMAL THAT WHAT MY DOC SAID SRRY ABOUT THAT
i had mine pierced and after a year i put in a dangly one and it got caught on my bracelet so after that it really hurt so i took it out and after 20 minutes, it had closed up, i went back to the piercer and she said because i wasyoung your skin heals really quickly, so i pierced it myself and it was fine, but now im too scared to put a dangly one back in another year later cos i think it may be too thin
hey i had my belly peirced aswell and when i got it they said that around day three or four that somegreefluit is gonna come out and it did but mine never did got swole andit didnt hurt…. i have pulled on it so many times when i took my shirt of and all but it didnt bleed …..feel sorry for u girl it looked pretty bad
